MyTherapy tracks.
Cureva actually watches.
MyTherapy is a capable, free medication tracker with a Team feature for relatives. If you want a daily AI check-in and a push alert to family when a dose goes unconfirmed, Cureva adds those.

MyTherapy has a loyal user base and genuinely good design. For a single adult who wants to track their own medications and log how they feel, it works. Some families want more when managing an elderly parent's medications remotely: a daily check-in, and a push when a dose goes unconfirmed.
- Reminders depend on phone settings. This is true of every reminder app, including Cureva: a phone update or a battery setting can silence notifications. Cureva's missed-dose check runs on our server, so linked caregivers can still be told even if the patient's phone stayed quiet.
- No daily conversational check-in. We could not find an AI check-in on MyTherapy's site. MyTherapy logs and tracks. Cureva's Eva sends a daily check-in by first name and asks how the person is feeling. For elderly users living alone, that daily contact can matter.
- Relatives look in rather than being pushed. MyTherapy's Team feature lets relatives see medication status and vitals and remind the patient (The Caregiver Space), and its health report is shared with a one-time code (MyTherapy, 2026). We could not find a missed-dose push alert to relatives. Cureva sends one.
- Per-caregiver permissions. In Cureva the patient chooses what each caregiver can see, including medicines, dose history and vitals, and whether they can edit. Up to 5 family and 5 professional caregivers can be linked.
What Cureva adds that MyTherapy doesn't have
Eva, Cureva's health companion, sends your loved one a daily check-in by first name and asks how they are feeling. Alarm-style reminders repeat until the dose is logged, and linked family caregivers get a push alert if it stays unconfirmed. No manual sharing, and no need to open the app to see if they took it.
For families managing elderly loved ones with multiple medications, the difference is being told when a dose goes unconfirmed, plus a daily check-in about how they are feeling.
When notifications go quiet
Phone updates and battery settings can change how apps send notifications. That can happen with any reminder app, and we have not tested MyTherapy for it. The app stays installed, the schedule stays set, and the alerts can go quiet without anyone noticing.
For a healthy adult tracking a daily vitamin, this is an inconvenience. For someone on blood thinners, insulin or heart medications, a reminder that quietly stops matters more, so check the settings after every phone update.
Check reminders after phone updates
After an OS update, open the reminder app, send a test reminder and confirm notifications are still allowed. Apps that rely only on notifications on the patient's phone have no other backup. Cureva adds a server-side check that can alert family caregivers.
Cureva adds one backup. If a dose is still unconfirmed after a 15 minute grace period, Cureva sends a push to linked family caregivers. It scans every 30 minutes and sends at most one push per caregiver per medicine every 4 hours. It cannot help if the caregiver's own notifications are off.

What Cureva adds to MyTherapy's basics
The tracking is the same category. Cureva adds a check-in and push alerts for family.
Eva: Personal Health Companion
Eva sends a daily check-in by first name and remembers what your loved one tells her. If they answer that they are not feeling good and choose to notify family, the family is told. We could not find an equivalent on MyTherapy's site.
Family Push Alerts
When a dose stays unconfirmed after a short grace period, linked family caregivers get a push notification, with no manual sharing. MyTherapy's Team feature lets relatives look in, and its report is shared with a one-time code.
Doctor-Ready Reports
Cureva builds a doctor-ready PDF for 7 days up to 6 months. Email it to a saved doctor or share a secure link. MyTherapy also creates a shareable health report.
Server-Side Backup
If a dose is still unconfirmed after a grace period, Cureva alerts linked family caregivers from the server. That backup does not depend on the patient's phone showing the reminder.
