About Eva and Cureva
What is Eva? Is she a real caretaker?
Eva is a personal health companion built into the Cureva app. She is not a human, but she is not a simple alarm either. Eva knows the person she cares for by name, tracks their medications and vitals, checks in conversationally every day, and reaches out to family members when something looks off. She supports, tracks, and informs. She does not diagnose or prescribe. Your doctor makes the medical decisions.
Who is Cureva built for?
Cureva is built for three groups: seniors managing their own medications and health, adult children or family members caring for aging parents from a distance, and professional caregivers who look after multiple clients. All three perspectives are addressed within a single account.
Is Cureva a medical device?
No. Cureva is a health management and companion application, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Always consult your physician for medical advice.
Which devices does Cureva work on?
Cureva is available as a native app for iPhone (iOS 16 and later) and Android (Android 10 and later). The app is optimized for phones and tablets. A web-based dashboard for family caregivers is also available at app.cureva.app.
Features
How many medications can I track?
Unlimited medications on all paid plans. There is no cap on the number of medications, doses per day, or time-of-day schedules you can set.
Can I add family members to my account?
Yes. You can add up to 5 family members or caregivers to a single Cureva account. Each person gets a unique login and you control exactly which alerts and health summaries they can see. Family members must accept an invitation before they receive any health information.
How do doctor reports work?
Eva automatically generates a formatted PDF health summary covering the past 30 or 90 days. The report includes medication adherence by drug, missed doses, blood pressure and blood glucose readings, and symptoms logged during daily check-ins. You can share the report by email directly from the app, download it as a PDF, or print it for your next appointment.
Does Eva check in via text, voice, or in-app?
Eva checks in via the app using text-based conversation by default. Voice input is supported if the user enables microphone access. Push notifications prompt the user to open the app for their daily check-in. We are working on SMS and WhatsApp check-in options for users who prefer not to open the app.
What languages does Eva support?
Eva supports 23 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Punjabi, Chinese (Mandarin), Arabic, Urdu, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Polish, Dutch, Ukrainian, Russian, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Gujarati, Bengali, and Tamil. Language is detected automatically from your device settings. You can override this in account preferences.
Is my photo stored?
There are two different things. Photos you choose to add to a medicine are stored in your account. The quick confirmation photo taken for an Important medicine is never saved, uploaded or read. It is deleted right away, and only the dose and its time are saved.
Privacy and security
Is my health data private?
Yes. All health data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and uploaded documents are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or share it with third parties without your explicit consent. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Is Cureva designed to support HIPAA requirements?
Cureva is designed to support HIPAA, PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/EEA), and CCPA (California) requirements. We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for Protected Health Information.
Can family members see all my health data?
No. You control exactly what each family member can see. By default, family members receive missed-dose alerts and daily check-in summaries only. You can grant additional access to vitals data and doctor reports on a per-person basis. Nothing is shared automatically without your consent.
Pricing and plans
Is Cureva free?
Cureva offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial, a paid plan is required to continue. Pricing will be announced at launch.
What is the founding member plan?
The founding member plan locks in a special rate for your first year. Standard pricing applies after your first year. The founding rate does not increase during your first year, regardless of future price changes.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from within the app at any time or email support@cureva.app. Your access continues until the end of the billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods except where required by law. We do not charge cancellation fees.
When does billing start?
Billing starts after your 7-day free trial ends. The trial begins on the date you download and activate the app. You will receive a reminder notification 3 days before your first charge.
